Z Medium Peel

The Z Medium Peel provides a superficial to medium-depth peel and significant exfoliation. This highly effective treatment promotes skin health, vitality, smoothness, and a youthful appearance. The Z Medium Peel is the ideal balance between lunchtime and aggressive treatments. It produces more dramatic results than a light peel does, and significant skin improvement can typically be achieved in just one session, yet the recovery and downtime are minimal compared to an aggressive deep peel.

How is it used

Z Medium peel targets sun damage, fine lines, wrinkles, melasma, and acne scarring. It can improve the overall color, texture, and appearance of your skin, for a noticeably fresh, youthful appearance. By removing the uppermost layer of skin, a chemical peel can safely trigger the body’s own healing response, which stimulates collagen production. As new skin develops, the previous aesthetic blemishes are diminished or eliminated.

How does it work?

Chemical peels act on the outermost layer of skin, achieving exfoliation of dead cells and triggering the rapid turnover of damaged cells. There may be a stinging or mild burning sensation during treatment, which should cease as soon as the neutralizing solution is applied. Depending on the desired depth of the peel, topical numbing agents or oral pain medications may be used to increase your comfort.

Recovery and results

Z Medium Peel is 25 percent stronger than the Z Light Peel, though the depth of the peeling procedure is adjusted by the duration of treatment. There may be some initial redness, followed by flaking or peeling of the skin. You should be able to camouflage the area with makeup within a few days, if not immediately after treatment. Complete recovery will take one to two weeks, depending on the depth of the peel.

Once the old, sun damaged surface skin has been stripped away, your body will replace it with new, smooth, healthy skin for a noticeably fresher appearance and more supple texture. To maintain results, the Z Medium Peel is recommended twice a year.
