Donor Selection & Testing
GoldOss only uses tissue from tissue banks that comply with all tissue banking standards as provided by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB) and the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA). All demineralized bone matrix (DBM) used in GoldOss Crunch Putty has been thoroughly tested using FDA licensed test kits in a CLIA certified lab and serum sample from the donor has passed a hemodilution review to ensure tested non-reactive or negative for various criteria including the following:

• Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) - type 1 & 2 antibody
• HIVp-24 and/or PCR, or HIVp-24 and/or PCR and HIV 1 NAT, or HIV 1 NAT
• Hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) and hepatitis B core antibody (HBcAb)
• Hepatitis C (anti-HCV) or (anti-HCV and HCV NAT)
• Rapid plasma regain (RPR) or serological tests for syphilis (STS)

Sterilization procedure for bone graft products
The graft products are sterilized by gamma irradiation and the content of the package is STERILE. Please ensure the product is not expired prior to use and we recommend that the product is used within one-hour of being opened. The package is designed for Single Use Only and any attempt to re-sterilize or re-use the product may cause a loss of functionality or contaminate the graft.

Differences from GoldOss DBM Crunch Putty?

GoldOss DBM Crunch Putty is an allograft material that contains both demineralized cortical and mineralized cancellous bone. DBM Putty (without Crunch) only contains demineralized bone and no mineralized cancellous bone chips. GoldOss DBM Crunch Putty has both, osteoconductive and osteoinductive elements that promote new bone growth. Demineralized bone provides active signals to stimulate bone regeneration and mineralized cancellous chips provide a natural structural frame to encourage the attachment of osteogenic precursor cells.
