Dr. Corey L. Hartman, is the founder and medical director of the Skin Wellness Center of Alabama in Birmingham, Alabama. He is Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the University of Alabama School of Medicine. A native of New Orleans, Louisiana, Dr. Hartman attended Emory University graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. After earning a doctorate of medicine from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee, he completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Tulane University Medical Center and a residency in Dermatology at the University of Alabama School of Medicine. Dr. Hartman is certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.
During his training, Dr. Hartman traveled to study at several other institutions including UCLA and Howard University, where he was an apprentice with experts in cosmetic procedures for all skin types. This knowledge has provided the basis for expertise in tailoring dermatologic surgery and cosmetic procedures that are safe and effective for patients from many diverse backgrounds.
Dr. Hartman has a special interest in General Dermatology, Dermatologic Surgery, Cosmetic Dermatology and Ethnic Hair and Skin Disorders. He frequently speaks on hair disorders and cosmetic procedures in darker racial skin tones at meetings around the country. In 2011, the Skin Wellness Center of Alabama was honored with the "Startup Business of the Year Award" by the African-American Business Council of the Birmingham Business Alliance. In 2012, Dr. Hartman was selected for the Leadership UAB Development Program.
Dr. Hartman is also a fellow of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and Past President of the Mineral District Medical Society. He lives in Homewood with his wife, Dr. Erika B. Hartman and their children, Grant and Helen. When he's not in the office he enjoys tennis, traveling, exploring new cultures and spending time with family and friends.

Brittany Rigsby - Brittany graduated magna cum laude from Samford University School of Nursing with a Master of Science in Nursing. Mrs. Rigsby has received specialized training in dermatology and has been providing a wide range of dermatological services to patients for over 6 years. She can examine, diagnose, treat and prescribe appropriate treatment for patients of all ages. She can perform procedures such as biopsy, cryotherapy and chemical peels Brittany Rigsby is nationally certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and is licensed by the Alabama Board of Nursing. She is a member of the Nurse Practitioner Society of the Dermatology Nurses’ Association. Mrs. Rigsby has participated in research studies for the treatment of Psoriasis and Actinic Keratoses (pre-cancers).
Brittany resides in Hoover, Alabama with her husband and two boys. Her husband is a Lieutenant with the Hoover Fire Department.
