Neighbors helping neighbors: A southern tradition

Many people take dental care for granted but hundreds throughout the York County area are denied the simple privilege of good oral health due to economic constraints. On August 8th and 9th, Dr. Christopher Griffin joined a number of other dental professionals and non-dental volunteers to provide vital services.

The First Baptist Church in Rock Hill, SC hosted Dental Access Days, transforming their multi-purpose room into an 80 chair clinic. All services, including x-rays, extractions, and fillings, were performed free of charge. More than 1,400 patients were treated to over $950,000 worth of dental care.
