About us
Dr. James W. Medlock

Dr. James W. Medlock is your West Palm Beach holistic dentist you can count on for improved function and aesthetic, without the inclusion of possibly harmful materials. In his 39 years of experience, Dr. Medlock has honed skills across the numerous preventative, restorative and cosmetic treatments he provides. A graduate of the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, Dr. Medlock is also a member of the American Board of Cosmetic Dentistry.
At the heart of our West Palm Beach holistic dentistry practice is a commitment to mercury safe practices. In fact, Dr. Medlock has been a pioneer in the mercury-safe dentistry movement, which goes beyond the mercury-free philosophy. As a member of the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology, Dr. Medlock follows the group's strict protocol when he removes mercury-silver fillings.
Also a member of the North American Neuromuscular Study Club (NANSC), Dr. Medlock has shown continued commitment to the science, study, and advancement of neuromuscular dentistry, and uses his skill in this area throughout our practice. This niche in dentistry makes use of advanced computer technology to assess a patient's bite and thus bring it into its ideal position. This type of technology is ideal for the treatment of TMD, also commonly called TMJ, a disorder that affects the joints at the sides of the jaw bone.
Dr. Medlock earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Missouri School of Dentistry, after which he practiced in Clinton, Missouri for twelve years. Making a move to Florida in 1985, he spent a year working for the Florida Department of Health before beginning his private holistic dentistry practice.
Associations that Dr. Medlock has membership to include:
- Fellowship at the Academy of General Dentistry
- International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology
- Holistic Dental Association
- North American Neuromuscular Study Club
- American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry
In his years of experience, Dr. Medlock has completed thousands of hours in continuing education, with emphasis on biocompatible materials in dentistry, the toxicity of mercury, neuromuscular occlusion and the temporomandibular joint, and the K-&-I computerized diagnostic technology, which tracks the position of the jaw through electromyography and joint sonography.
Dr. Elizabeth Keith

Dr. Keith began her journey to dentistry at the Palm Beach Junior College where she graduated from the AA Pre-Dental program. She went on to the University of Florida in Gainesville, where she completed the microbiology program, and earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 1994. She was awarded Fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry in 2006.
In her unwavering commitment to continuing education, Dr. Keith has completed many advanced training programs with respected institutions such as the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Dental Association. She regularly attends conferences, seminars, and lectures to stay abreast of the latest technology and techniques.
Most recently, Dr. Keith has been focusing on expanding her exceptional skills in implantology. Zirconia implants have been shown to have properties equal or superior to titanium, which is opening the door for completely metal-free dentistry, with the advantages of implants. However, the process is sophisticated and technique sensitive. This is a relatively new concept in the United States, and Dr. Keith is one of a select few dental professionals training in the procedure. In December of 2012, she completed the Zirconia Implants course with Z-Systems, the leaders in ceramic implant manufacturing.
Dr. Keith is currently enrolled in implant placement and orthodontic courses with the Atlantic Coast Research Clinic (PBSC) in Lake Worth. She has completed two courses and expects to graduate from the final phase of the program in May of 2013. Her professional affiliations include the Academy of General Dentistry (Fellow), American Dental Implant Association, American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Central Palm Beach County Dental Association, Atlantic Research Clinic, and North Carolina Dental Association.
