Complete dentures from dentist in West Palm Beach

Drs. James Medlock and Elizabeth Keith of West Palm Beach are quality dentists in the community who are interested in helping patients achieve their best smiles possible. In order to do so, they offer comprehensive care, preventative services, and even rehabilitation options for patients who are struggling with the loss and damage of the smile. When men and women are in a situation where most or all of their teeth in the arch have been lost, they can speak with our professionals about repairing the smile with complete dentures.

Complete dentures, sometimes referred to as full dentures, are restorations that are custom-made for patients to replace all the teeth in the dental arch. They are held in place on the gum line with either dental adhesives, dental implants, or natural suction. Drs. James Medlock and Elizabeth Keith will encourage patients to consider these as an economical alternative to other solutions. A whole dental arch of implants is not affordable for most patients, and bridges require existing teeth for placement. Complete dentures are a common solution.

However, when patients think of complete dentures, they think of the fake-looking false teeth of their grandparents. Thankfully, dentures have come a long way over the years and are now more attractive then ever. Adjustments are easier and allow patients to feel more comfortable with their false teeth even when changes occur to their smile over time. Drs. James Medlock and Elizabeth Keith can show patients samples of complete dentures so they can visualize how they will work within their smile.

To have complete dentures made, patients must go through a series of impressions which are used for the development of their apparatus. Patients work with their dentist to choose the color of the teeth on their new dentures as well as the shape, size, and desired overall look. These instructions are passed onto the dental laboratory that will be fabricating the new dentures to ensure compliance.

Dentures arrive back to the dental office within a few weeks, during which adjustments are made and patients are educated on how to use and care for their dentures.

"The staff was very helpful and friendly. They answered all of my questions and helped me to feel at ease. Though the doctor was very knowledgeable, she used terms and explanations I could understand. What I loved about the staff was that they made me feel comfortable. It was as though I had been a patient for years. It was a great experience!" ~E.H Sunnyvale
