As a high school senior, Dr. Nathan was accepted to the prestigious and highly competitive Honors Program in Medicine at the University of Miami. The program identifies high-aptitude students and grants them simultaneous admission to the Undergraduate School and the School of Medicine from high school. While attending the University of Miami, Dr. Nathan double majored in Biology and English Literature. Within three years, he earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree, with Honors. Subsequently, Dr. Nathan matriculated to the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. There, he continued to excel and was admitted to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society.
At UCSF, Dr. Nathan served as Chief Resident in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. After rigorous and well rounded training, he pursued fellowship training in Craniofacial surgery. In addition to treating children with various acquired and congenital deformities, Dr. Nathan received specialized training in adult facial cosmetic surgery including rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty, and face lift. Dr. Nathan is a Board Certified plastic surgeon and the author of numerous peer-reviewed publications on the subjects of aesthetic and facial surgery. He has spoken at both national and international meetings.
