The patient experience and aesthetics of Invisalign are totally different from traditional metal braces. However, the power to treat cases ranging from minor adjustments to major bite correction remain the same. Invisalign uses tried-and-true principles of moving teeth with strategically located, low-force pressure. However, Invisalign does this in a high-tech, discreet way, with clear aligners.
The Invisalign system is different from the beginning. There are no messy, uncomfortable impression trays. The digital design system works with a three-dimensional smile scan, which is fast, comfortable, and highly detailed. Using those images, Dr. Thompson will work with Invisalign to plan precise tooth movements needed. The final step is previewing a digital simulation of your new, straight smile.
Once your treatment plan is finalized, we will have your custom aligners fabricated at the Invisalign facility. You will receive a series of several aligners, which need to be worn at least 22 or 23 hours every day. Only remove them while eating, or for oral hygiene.
Each aligner moves teeth in small increments. You will use an aligner for a couple of weeks, then discard it and move to the next one in the series. This process continues with gradual improvement until you have reached optimal alignment.

Wish I would have come years ago, all the newest tech (including onlay, crown, and veneer creation on site while you are there) as well as overall great service from everyone I have interacted with. Dr Thompson is an amazing Dentist.. He has always taken great care if my husband and I. He is now taking great care of my 4 kids. We took my 4 year old in because we thought she had a cavity and although she was scared and nervous he reassured her that everything would be fine. We had our first successful visit to the dentist today. When your 4 year old says the dentist is nice and she wants to go see him again you know you have found a great dentist!
