Q: I had Botox on my forehead a week ago but my one eyebrow is so lifted on its corner that I look very stern. Will this last forever?

A: No, the unwanted side effect of your Botox will resolve spontaneously. It may take 8 to 16 weeks. It can, however, be corrected usually, very easily by placing a tiny drop of Botox in the overactive muscle as long as it's at least one cm. above the eyebrow.

A: Yes. As long as the blood pressure is well controlled with medication but if your blood pressure is very high, then you might get more bruising from the needle insertions of the Botox. A “black eye” could occur.

Q: I am trying to get pregnant. Can I still have Botox?

A: It is not recommended that you have Botox if you're trying to conceive. Certainly, if you know you're pregnant you should not have Botox. Q: I had Botox this morning. Can I work out tonight?

A: I do not restrict my patients from exercise more than four hours from the time the Botox was injected. Enjoy your workout if it's been more than four hours after the Botox treatment.

Q: I want to have more of an open eye. In the last ten years my upper eyelids are sagging. Can Botox help?

A: You would need an examination but you might be a candidate for lifting by injecting Botox in the glabellar area between the eyebrows and the outer eyebrows.
