Fat Injections New York - Related FAQ's

What do you recommend to minimize the chance of bruising when I get Restylane?

Usually there is a very small chance of bruising with Restylane as the needles are very fine and it is not placed deep in the layers where the larger vessels might get traumatized. However, you should avoid blood thinners such as garlic supplements, ginko, ginseng, vitamin E, fish oil, aspirin, Alleve, Motrin, Advil, Ibuprofen and many others. Our office stocks Arnica Montana (Sinnech) which has been shown to decrease the chance of getting bruising and swelling. There also is a vitamin K cream (Auriderm) that might minimize the coloration and duration of a bruise should it occur.

There are several conditions that can do this, one being hemifacial atrophy. It is often treated very well with fat injections (fat grafts). A face lift might make it look more taught and not better.
