I had a filler injected 16 months ago and it still looks lumpy. I think it was Restylane. My frined had a bump that was dissolved by an injection after she had some filler. Can mine be injected to dissolve the filler this late after the injection?
Whether your filler has been in place for one day or one year, hyaluronidase may be injected to dissolve Restylane, Juvederm Ultra, Juvederm UltraPlus and Perlane. How many cases is enough for a doctor to be considered a Sculptra expert?
There is no one correct answer to your question. Some doctors have been injecting fillers for decades and some have more of a knowledge of the anatomy and an artistic sense than others. Some doctors avail themselves on accepting offers of national clinical leaders in Sculptra administration to having come to their offices for one-on-one training. In our practice, Dr. Shelton had two such experts come for this intense training to his office as well as having read voluminous articles and reviewing many videos and attending Sculptra seminars. The key with Sculptra is to mix it well, dilute it more than the initial study suggested, and now corroborated by Dr. Danny Vlegaar of Switzerland, the world’s leader in Sculptra injections and under whom Dr. Shelton has studied at conferences. The newer dilution minimizes the chance of administering too high a concentration of Sculptra particles per area which can form a nodule within a couple of weeks of the injection.I had my doctor do fat injections into my face and I like the result but one side is different than the other. It’s been two weeks, should I worry?
Please see your doctor for an evaluation and for them to note the asymmetry so they can follow it for you. There could be swelling on one side more than the other. There could be an overcorrection on one side or under correction on the other. There might be some bruising and even a hematoma (collection of blood) on the enlarged side, so see your doctor to ensure that nothing needs treatment at this time. It is very early in the healing period and you may find that over time you acquire a wonderful result without any intervention.I had fat injections into my cheeks but it’s now already one week and I still feel numb but tingly. Is this normal?
Fat injections involve the traumatic injection of fat into the deep dermis, subcutaneous, muscular and supraperiosteal planes. This may cause swelling which may cause some discomfort, numbness, tingling, etc. Usually all these symptoms vanish after several weeks to months.Related Articles
