Acceptance as Part of Your Successful Weight Loss – A 7 Day Quick Start
Remember that the only way to successfully lose weight and keep it off is to change your lifestyle to complement and enhance the new you.
Too often we spend our lives living with a bad body image, a negative attitude towards diet and exercise and spend little time on ourselves or friends/family.
This week you are going to start breaking that negativity through acceptance.
Day 1: Accept yourself: To get anywhere you need to start accepting yourself the way you are now. Look at yourself in the mirror and then write down five lovely statements about yourself.
Day 2: Accept your goals: A lot can be accomplished by “thinking thin”. Spend time today meditating on what you look like from the inside then step into that ideal and wear it as you would a new dress
Day 3: Accept your diet: Eating healthy is not a prison sentence. Pick out some foods from the “Healthy Eating Plan” and start planning some amazing recipes that you will enjoy.
Day 4: Accept Exercise: Exercise does not have to be hard. Go for a walk down the road taking time to really look around you. There you go – exercise day one!
Day 5: Accept ME time: We are usually too busy to find the time for quiet relaxation and some creative pursuits in our lives. Go through your planner and schedule in yourself 30 minutes of ME time every day – Create a Vision Related Activities section to note down things you like to do.
Days 6 & 7: Accept Time Off: Weekends are not an extension of your work week. Make sure that you spend some time with your family having fun; or if you are single plan an outing with some friends and go and have some fun.
The only thing left to add to this successful formula is YOU. “So, stay focused on your vision and be totally committed to your goal” It is time for you to take action and to work on the most important assets you have – your healthy and happy life.
