During this unsettling time, we wanted to reach out to our patients and reassure you of our commitment to maintaining a safe, clean environment at Noble Cosmetic Surgery, because providing a safe and healthy environment for our patients and staff has been our top priority. Additionally, please take note of the following:
  • As a cosmetic medicine facility, we typically do not service sick patients. Our patients are electing to have procedures that are not medically necessary, so your risk of running into an ill patient is lower than that of other healthcare facilities.
  • Our surgeries and other treatments are performed in our private facilities that are used purely for elective treatments.
We continue to monitor the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, and are actively following the guidelines and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO) as well as our local, state and federal government agencies. Our usual guidelines include universal precautions, frequent handwashing, and frequent sanitizing of all patient areas. For the most up-to-date information, please check the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website about this evolving situation, how to reduce the risk of spreading illness, travel health notices, and more.

The best way to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed to this virus. Currently, as the coronavirus is thought to spread mainly from person-to-person, we have now adopted several enhanced safety measures to decrease the risk of exposure to you and the community which include the following:
  • Please wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use the hand sanitizers provided when you enter our offices.
  • If you are feeling unwell or anyone in your household may have been exposed to COVID-19 through travel or attendance at large gatherings less than two weeks ago, please call us at your earliest convenience so we can reschedule you!
  • If you need to cough or sneeze, do so into the crease of your elbow, and then immediately wash your hands.
  • Know the symptoms of Coronavirus: tiredness, fever, weakness, shortness of breath and diarrhea. This virus is lower respiratory focused, so you may not have upper respiratory symptoms like a runny nose, sore throat, and congestion.
  • Take these additional preventive actions to stop the spread of germs-(wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth, clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces).
We hope that each of you will stay safe & healthy as we navigate this complex situation together.

Sincerely,
Dr. Obasi & his staff at Noble Cosmetic Surgery

Learn about buttock enhancement surgical procedures in Plano, TX practice

Patients in Plano, TX and surrounding areas who are unhappy with the shape and the proportion of their buttocks may feel as though it’s an issue they’ll have to live with. Fortunately, with plastic surgery, doctors can help patients achieve the look they’ve always wanted with a round and lifted buttocks. This surgical enhancement procedure is readily available for patients of Dr. Patrick C. Obasi of Noble Cosmetic Surgery.

Buttock Enhancement Procedure in Plano area

What it a buttock enhancement?

For patients who have lost the lift and firmness of their buttocks over the years and want to have a fuller, rounder appearance, buttock enhancement surgical procedures are appropriate for these individuals. This may include patients of any gender or ethnicity who want to improve the appearance of their buttocks no matter what they wear! It can help in balancing the body and improving the overall proportions.

What options are available?

The most popular option is the Brazilian Butt Lift. However, patients who do not have enough fat to graft may also ask about the use of silicone implants to reshape the buttocks area.

How does the Brazilian Butt Lift work?

The first procedure available at the practice of Dr. Patrick C. Obasi is referred to as a Brazilian Butt Lift. The way it works is that the doctor will remove excess fat from another area of the body, typically an area that patients want to tighten and tone. This may include the:

  • Thighs
  • Love handles
  • Hips
  • Stomach

The fat is removed through a specialized liposuction procedure that will reduce any scarring that may result from the treatment. This fat is purified and prepared for transfer. Then, the doctor will reinject it into the bottom. This is done in a precise manner to ensure that the buttock size is equally improved, and that the area is smooth and firm. Volume and shape are both improved with this treatment. The entire process is done during a single appointment.

Another option is to reshape the buttocks area using implants. This is a surgical procedure that the doctor may suggest if patients want an alternative solution. Buttocks implants require a more invasive surgery which is why the Brazilian Butt Lift is regularly recommended when possible.

What should I expect from recovery?

As with any operation, patients need to be open with their doctor about any medications they may take that may interfere with the procedure prior to their surgical appointment. Patients can ask questions about the recovery process so that there are no surprises and they can properly prepare for the weeks following the surgery. Operations do require recovery time, and this includes time away from work, certain social activities, and often vigorous exercise. Pain from a buttock enlargement surgical procedure is often minimal and can be controlled with over-the-counter pain medications or prescription pain medications if needed. Patients will have to avoid sitting or resting on their buttocks for approximately two weeks following the procedure. Patients will be expected to sleep on their side or on their stomach, and to stand for all activities except for using the toilet. As the patient heals, a special pillow may be placed under the thighs when sitting to avoid putting pressure on the buttocks area but transition to sitting in a more routine manner. Routine sitting activity is typically reached around the point of week eight, perhaps earlier, depending on the healing process and only when advised by the doctor.

Patients will need to visit their doctor for a few follow-up appointments to ensure that their body is healing properly and that the results from their procedure are as expected. Patients can typically get approval for light daily activities approximately one week following their procedure and may return to work within two weeks or so. Following the doctor’s post-operative instructions very closely will help in ensuring a speedy recovery and no side effects or problems that may appear in patients that do not pay close attention their body’s needs during this healing process.
