During this unsettling time, we wanted to reach out to our patients and reassure you of our commitment to maintaining a safe, clean environment at Noble Cosmetic Surgery, because providing a safe and healthy environment for our patients and staff has been our top priority. Additionally, please take note of the following:
  • As a cosmetic medicine facility, we typically do not service sick patients. Our patients are electing to have procedures that are not medically necessary, so your risk of running into an ill patient is lower than that of other healthcare facilities.
  • Our surgeries and other treatments are performed in our private facilities that are used purely for elective treatments.
We continue to monitor the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, and are actively following the guidelines and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO) as well as our local, state and federal government agencies. Our usual guidelines include universal precautions, frequent handwashing, and frequent sanitizing of all patient areas. For the most up-to-date information, please check the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website about this evolving situation, how to reduce the risk of spreading illness, travel health notices, and more.

The best way to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed to this virus. Currently, as the coronavirus is thought to spread mainly from person-to-person, we have now adopted several enhanced safety measures to decrease the risk of exposure to you and the community which include the following:
  • Please wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use the hand sanitizers provided when you enter our offices.
  • If you are feeling unwell or anyone in your household may have been exposed to COVID-19 through travel or attendance at large gatherings less than two weeks ago, please call us at your earliest convenience so we can reschedule you!
  • If you need to cough or sneeze, do so into the crease of your elbow, and then immediately wash your hands.
  • Know the symptoms of Coronavirus: tiredness, fever, weakness, shortness of breath and diarrhea. This virus is lower respiratory focused, so you may not have upper respiratory symptoms like a runny nose, sore throat, and congestion.
  • Take these additional preventive actions to stop the spread of germs-(wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth, clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces).
We hope that each of you will stay safe & healthy as we navigate this complex situation together.

Sincerely,
Dr. Obasi & his staff at Noble Cosmetic Surgery

Circumferential Body Lift

Circumferential Body Lift Q & A

A circumferential body lift is also known as a belt lipectomy, circumferential Abdominoplasty, or a lower body lift. It targets the midsection area, where excess skin tends to remain after significant weight loss. Areas that are addressed in a circumferential body lift procedure include the abdomen, back, hips, buttocks, and thighs.

Dr. Obasi’s goal with a body lift is to remove excess fat and skin. After he removes excess folds, he rejoins the skin and stitches it up. The surgery results in tighter body contours.

A circumferential body lift may be appropriate if you:

  • Are at or near healthy body weight
  • Have lost a great deal of weight from bariatric surgery or dieting
  • Have more sagging skin than can be corrected with a tummy tuck or liposuction
  • See loose tissue skin around the waist and lower body
  • Have only thin layers of fat remaining in the belt area.
  • Experience restricted mobility, chafing, rash, or infection from overhanging skin
  • Are distressed by the appearance of lax skin on the lower body

Dr. Obasi is always happy to discuss your concerns and determine if you’re a qualified candidate for this type of enhancement.

A body lift is a major surgical procedure with a substantial recovery period. Dr. Obasi takes ample time to understand your concerns before recommending it. He explains the procedure, pain management, postoperative care requirements, and scarring, as well as realistic expectations for your results.

While the surgery is highly effective, you may experience swelling and bruising, as well as a significant period of time where you have to limit your physical activities until you’re fully healed. You’ll also need to be mindful about your health habits, as fluctuations in weight can impact the results you get with this type of procedure.

Most patients are thrilled with their results, as a circumferential body lift can dramatically improve your shape and give you freedom from the complications of sagging skin. With a healthy diet and exercise routine, results are long lasting.
