During this unsettling time, we wanted to reach out to our patients and reassure you of our commitment to maintaining a safe, clean environment at Noble Cosmetic Surgery, because providing a safe and healthy environment for our patients and staff has been our top priority. Additionally, please take note of the following:
  • As a cosmetic medicine facility, we typically do not service sick patients. Our patients are electing to have procedures that are not medically necessary, so your risk of running into an ill patient is lower than that of other healthcare facilities.
  • Our surgeries and other treatments are performed in our private facilities that are used purely for elective treatments.
We continue to monitor the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, and are actively following the guidelines and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO) as well as our local, state and federal government agencies. Our usual guidelines include universal precautions, frequent handwashing, and frequent sanitizing of all patient areas. For the most up-to-date information, please check the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website about this evolving situation, how to reduce the risk of spreading illness, travel health notices, and more.

The best way to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed to this virus. Currently, as the coronavirus is thought to spread mainly from person-to-person, we have now adopted several enhanced safety measures to decrease the risk of exposure to you and the community which include the following:
  • Please wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use the hand sanitizers provided when you enter our offices.
  • If you are feeling unwell or anyone in your household may have been exposed to COVID-19 through travel or attendance at large gatherings less than two weeks ago, please call us at your earliest convenience so we can reschedule you!
  • If you need to cough or sneeze, do so into the crease of your elbow, and then immediately wash your hands.
  • Know the symptoms of Coronavirus: tiredness, fever, weakness, shortness of breath and diarrhea. This virus is lower respiratory focused, so you may not have upper respiratory symptoms like a runny nose, sore throat, and congestion.
  • Take these additional preventive actions to stop the spread of germs-(wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth, clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces).
We hope that each of you will stay safe & healthy as we navigate this complex situation together.

Sincerely,
Dr. Obasi & his staff at Noble Cosmetic Surgery

Plano, TX Patients Benefit from Dysport as an Alternative to Botox, Invasive Surgical Treatment

The American Society of Plastic Surgeons reports botulinum toxin type A injections are the most common minimally-invasive cosmetic treatment in the country. This injectable approach to softening wrinkles accounted for 7.44 million of the 15.9 million minimally-invasive cosmetic treatments performed in 2018. You may know botulinum toxin by the trade name Botox; however, this well-recognized solution represents just one of a group of medications that use the same active ingredient to inhibit the muscle activity responsible for expression lines.

Dysport Treatment near Plano TX

Triple board-certified surgeon Dr. Patrick Obasi is pleased to administer Botox skillfully and safely as well as Xeomin and Dysport treatment to Plano, TX area patients in his practice, Noble Cosmetic Surgery. Other cosmetic surgery centers in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex may only offer Botox. So, the search for “Dysport injections near me” can be difficult. Dr. Obasi provides options, allowing for truly tailored treatment that achieves the best 0utcomes for each patient.

Dysport injections, an alternative to invasive surgery

Used in the United Kingdom since 1991, Dysport was initially developed and approved as a treatment for involuntary blinking and various forms of muscle spasms. The Food and Drug Administration later approved Dysport in 2009 for the treatment of cervical dystonia, a condition characterized by involuntary contractions of the neck muscles. Additionally, Dysport was approved to temporarily reduce the appearance of moderate to severe glabellar lines. The skin between the eyebrows, or glabella, is prone to wrinkles as each time you frown or squint, a groove forms beneath the skin’s surface. As skin ages and loses its flexibility, the lines that normally only appeared when an expression was made, become permanent facial features.

Dysport works on the muscles that repeatedly contract, tighten, and cause wrinkles with one injection into each of five points above and between the brows. When Dr. Obasi administers this solution, it blocks the signal sent by the nerves to the muscles that normally cause the activity responsible for lines. Since the signal that produces the contraction is blocked, the muscles can’t cause lines when you frown or make other expressions. The treated area looks smooth and youthful again; you don’t have to worry about areas of your face appearing unnatural or “frozen,” as Dysport only works at the site of the injection. So, go ahead — Express yourself freely and naturally, with confidence!

Dr. Obasi’s patients also appreciate that Dysport treatment is:

  • Fast – Treatments only take about 10 to 20 minutes, depending on your needs and goals
  • Effective – Results vary, but more than half of patients saw improvement in their frown lines within two to three days
  • Lasting – Generally, results from a single treatment persist for around five months before more injections are needed
  • Safe – Side effects are similar to other common minimally-invasive treatments and include localized discomfort, redness, and swelling
