During this unsettling time, we wanted to reach out to our patients and reassure you of our commitment to maintaining a safe, clean environment at Noble Cosmetic Surgery, because providing a safe and healthy environment for our patients and staff has been our top priority. Additionally, please take note of the following:
  • As a cosmetic medicine facility, we typically do not service sick patients. Our patients are electing to have procedures that are not medically necessary, so your risk of running into an ill patient is lower than that of other healthcare facilities.
  • Our surgeries and other treatments are performed in our private facilities that are used purely for elective treatments.
We continue to monitor the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, and are actively following the guidelines and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO) as well as our local, state and federal government agencies. Our usual guidelines include universal precautions, frequent handwashing, and frequent sanitizing of all patient areas. For the most up-to-date information, please check the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website about this evolving situation, how to reduce the risk of spreading illness, travel health notices, and more.

The best way to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed to this virus. Currently, as the coronavirus is thought to spread mainly from person-to-person, we have now adopted several enhanced safety measures to decrease the risk of exposure to you and the community which include the following:
  • Please wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use the hand sanitizers provided when you enter our offices.
  • If you are feeling unwell or anyone in your household may have been exposed to COVID-19 through travel or attendance at large gatherings less than two weeks ago, please call us at your earliest convenience so we can reschedule you!
  • If you need to cough or sneeze, do so into the crease of your elbow, and then immediately wash your hands.
  • Know the symptoms of Coronavirus: tiredness, fever, weakness, shortness of breath and diarrhea. This virus is lower respiratory focused, so you may not have upper respiratory symptoms like a runny nose, sore throat, and congestion.
  • Take these additional preventive actions to stop the spread of germs-(wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth, clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces).
We hope that each of you will stay safe & healthy as we navigate this complex situation together.

Sincerely,
Dr. Obasi & his staff at Noble Cosmetic Surgery

What is Kybella?

Kybella

Kybella Q & A

Kybella is a product from Allergan, the makers of Botox and Juvéderm. As an FDA-approved injectable treatment, Kybella is used to reduce excess fat and fullness under the chin. As an alternative to liposuction or surgery, it’s a safe and effective option.

While non-invasive options are usually safe for everyone, your situation is unique. You may benefit from Kybella, or perhaps Kybella combined with other treatment methods or enhancements.

During your consultation, you’ll discuss your medical history and expectations with Dr. Obasi so your treatment can be customized to meet your needs.

Performed right in the office, your treatment can be done in 15-20 minutes. No surgery or general anesthesia is needed.

Every patient is different. Some patients have a small amount of fat under the chin and may only need a single treatment. Other patients require more than one session; some may need up to six treatments to achieve the desired outcome. Treatments are performed at least one month apart.

After a Kybella treatment, you may experience some side effects. Swelling, bruising, and numbness are common but will subside as the product begins to break down fat cells.

If you experience any other side effects, make sure to notify Dr. Obasi right away. In rare cases of an allergic reaction, you might not be able to tolerate the treatment. In such a case, Dr. Obasi can help you decide on a different skincare route.

You’ll have noticeable effects after a single treatment, and the results will improve after each treatment. For example, you’ll notice that skin feels more lifted and tightened where the treatment is applied.

Since fat cells that are destroyed cannot regrow, these fat cells are gone forever. However, a poor diet or lack of exercise can still make you gain weight, and this may reintroduce the problem of a double chin.

If you’d like to keep the results of your Kybella treatment, it’s good to strive toward maintaining your weight. You can also enjoy your results longer if you practice good skincare habits.
