During this unsettling time, we wanted to reach out to our patients and reassure you of our commitment to maintaining a safe, clean environment at Noble Cosmetic Surgery, because providing a safe and healthy environment for our patients and staff has been our top priority. Additionally, please take note of the following:
  • As a cosmetic medicine facility, we typically do not service sick patients. Our patients are electing to have procedures that are not medically necessary, so your risk of running into an ill patient is lower than that of other healthcare facilities.
  • Our surgeries and other treatments are performed in our private facilities that are used purely for elective treatments.
We continue to monitor the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, and are actively following the guidelines and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO) as well as our local, state and federal government agencies. Our usual guidelines include universal precautions, frequent handwashing, and frequent sanitizing of all patient areas. For the most up-to-date information, please check the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website about this evolving situation, how to reduce the risk of spreading illness, travel health notices, and more.

The best way to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed to this virus. Currently, as the coronavirus is thought to spread mainly from person-to-person, we have now adopted several enhanced safety measures to decrease the risk of exposure to you and the community which include the following:
  • Please wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use the hand sanitizers provided when you enter our offices.
  • If you are feeling unwell or anyone in your household may have been exposed to COVID-19 through travel or attendance at large gatherings less than two weeks ago, please call us at your earliest convenience so we can reschedule you!
  • If you need to cough or sneeze, do so into the crease of your elbow, and then immediately wash your hands.
  • Know the symptoms of Coronavirus: tiredness, fever, weakness, shortness of breath and diarrhea. This virus is lower respiratory focused, so you may not have upper respiratory symptoms like a runny nose, sore throat, and congestion.
  • Take these additional preventive actions to stop the spread of germs-(wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth, clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces).
We hope that each of you will stay safe & healthy as we navigate this complex situation together.

Sincerely,
Dr. Obasi & his staff at Noble Cosmetic Surgery

Lip Augmentation Q & A

Lip augmentation refers to any number of techniques that are used to add more fullness and volume to the lips. Most lip augmentation is done through non-invasive injections, and recovery time is very short. Patients can also expect diminished fine lines and wrinkles on and around the lips.

Dr. Obasi performs two types of lip augmentation procedures that are both comfortable, outpatient visits:

Fat transfer

This is a minimally invasive procedure that supplements your lips with fat taken from your own body, such as your abdomen thighs. After the fat is removed via liposuction, it’s thinned and filtered to remove impurities, then injected into precise points on your lips to add fullness and shape.

Injectable dermal fillers

Dr. Obasi also uses these fillers to augment lips. When you opt for a filler procedure, it can be performed alone or in combination with a fat transfer. Fillers are formulated with hyaluronic acid (HA) in a gel base. HA attracts many times its own weight in water, so this procedure adds immediate volume, and your results continue to improve for several months.

A lip augmentation procedure is one of the safest cosmetic enhancements you can do to add a youthful glow to your face. Benefits include:

  • Volume: Dr. Obasi skillfully manipulates the amount of filler or fat that’s injected, so you have natural, beautiful results
  • Gradual change: Injections can be scheduled over a period of time until you reach the desired level of augmentation
  • Low risk of side effects: In Dr. Obasi’s skilled hands, injectables are safe and have minimal side effects
  • Comfort: Fillers are infused with lidocaine, which will act as a numbing agent and painkiller

Your lip augmentation results will last longer if you practice good skincare habits and oral health.
