During this unsettling time, we wanted to reach out to our patients and reassure you of our commitment to maintaining a safe, clean environment at Noble Cosmetic Surgery, because providing a safe and healthy environment for our patients and staff has been our top priority. Additionally, please take note of the following:
  • As a cosmetic medicine facility, we typically do not service sick patients. Our patients are electing to have procedures that are not medically necessary, so your risk of running into an ill patient is lower than that of other healthcare facilities.
  • Our surgeries and other treatments are performed in our private facilities that are used purely for elective treatments.
We continue to monitor the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, and are actively following the guidelines and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO) as well as our local, state and federal government agencies. Our usual guidelines include universal precautions, frequent handwashing, and frequent sanitizing of all patient areas. For the most up-to-date information, please check the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website about this evolving situation, how to reduce the risk of spreading illness, travel health notices, and more.

The best way to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed to this virus. Currently, as the coronavirus is thought to spread mainly from person-to-person, we have now adopted several enhanced safety measures to decrease the risk of exposure to you and the community which include the following:
  • Please wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use the hand sanitizers provided when you enter our offices.
  • If you are feeling unwell or anyone in your household may have been exposed to COVID-19 through travel or attendance at large gatherings less than two weeks ago, please call us at your earliest convenience so we can reschedule you!
  • If you need to cough or sneeze, do so into the crease of your elbow, and then immediately wash your hands.
  • Know the symptoms of Coronavirus: tiredness, fever, weakness, shortness of breath and diarrhea. This virus is lower respiratory focused, so you may not have upper respiratory symptoms like a runny nose, sore throat, and congestion.
  • Take these additional preventive actions to stop the spread of germs-(wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth, clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces).
We hope that each of you will stay safe & healthy as we navigate this complex situation together.

Sincerely,
Dr. Obasi & his staff at Noble Cosmetic Surgery

Neck Lift

Neck Lift Q & A

The medical term for a neck lift is lower rhytidectomy. It’s a cosmetic surgery that reduces fatty deposits, removes loose skin, and tightens the neck and jaw area for a more youthful appearance.

You might be a good candidate for a neck lift if you’re happy with the appearance of your face, but you’re struggling with a double chin, sagging jowls, or deep wrinkles on your neck. It’s a procedure that can be performed alone or as a complement to other surgical or non-surgical enhancements.

The neck lift procedure is popular with patients who are between 30 and 60 years old, but it can provide transformative results at older ages, too.

At Noble Cosmetic Surgery, the neck lift is an outpatient procedure.

Dr. Obasi administers intravenous sedation or a general anesthesia before the procedure. He makes small incisions behind your ears, and possibly under your chin. Through these access points, he removes fat, tightens muscles, and eliminates excess skin. He might also redistribute fat or “sculpt” the area to improve contouring. He then repositions the remaining skin and closes the incisions with fine sutures.

Dr. Obasi and his team monitor you until you wake from anesthesia. You’ll be sent home with detailed instructions for your recovery, and you’ll schedule a series of follow-up visits so Dr. Obasi can monitor your healing.

You might experience some swelling, bruising, and tightness, but these are normal side effects of the procedure and tend to subside quickly. It’s  important that you avoid activities that might expose your wounds to anything abrasive or irritating while you heal.

Most patients return to their normal activities within two weeks of a neck lift, and scarring is usually minimal and unnoticeable.

If you’re thorough in following your aftercare instructions and attending follow-up visits, you can ensure a speedy recovery. While no cosmetic surgery can stop the natural process of aging, with good skincare habits, you’ll enjoy the results of a neck lift for many years.
