During this unsettling time, we wanted to reach out to our patients and reassure you of our commitment to maintaining a safe, clean environment at Noble Cosmetic Surgery, because providing a safe and healthy environment for our patients and staff has been our top priority. Additionally, please take note of the following:
  • As a cosmetic medicine facility, we typically do not service sick patients. Our patients are electing to have procedures that are not medically necessary, so your risk of running into an ill patient is lower than that of other healthcare facilities.
  • Our surgeries and other treatments are performed in our private facilities that are used purely for elective treatments.
We continue to monitor the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, and are actively following the guidelines and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO) as well as our local, state and federal government agencies. Our usual guidelines include universal precautions, frequent handwashing, and frequent sanitizing of all patient areas. For the most up-to-date information, please check the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website about this evolving situation, how to reduce the risk of spreading illness, travel health notices, and more.

The best way to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed to this virus. Currently, as the coronavirus is thought to spread mainly from person-to-person, we have now adopted several enhanced safety measures to decrease the risk of exposure to you and the community which include the following:
  • Please wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use the hand sanitizers provided when you enter our offices.
  • If you are feeling unwell or anyone in your household may have been exposed to COVID-19 through travel or attendance at large gatherings less than two weeks ago, please call us at your earliest convenience so we can reschedule you!
  • If you need to cough or sneeze, do so into the crease of your elbow, and then immediately wash your hands.
  • Know the symptoms of Coronavirus: tiredness, fever, weakness, shortness of breath and diarrhea. This virus is lower respiratory focused, so you may not have upper respiratory symptoms like a runny nose, sore throat, and congestion.
  • Take these additional preventive actions to stop the spread of germs-(wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth, clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces).
We hope that each of you will stay safe & healthy as we navigate this complex situation together.

Sincerely,
Dr. Obasi & his staff at Noble Cosmetic Surgery

What is nonsurgical rhinoplasty?

That is actually for both men and women. When a patient comes in, maybe they have a little bit of a hump or a little bit of deviation may be from trauma some area might be scared or there might be a little bit of a depression.

What do you offer them first before the nose job?

First of all, you offer them fillers and see if they like it before proceeding to the more complex rhinoplasty which is a nose job.

We kind of use fillers to augment that area to fill the area that is probably having some indentation or deviation and to repair the harm.

Will this help them decided if they want to proceed with the rhinoplasty?

If they really want to make up their minds to proceed with the rhinoplasty which is a nose job or not. That will give them an idea of what they are going to get at the end of the day.

That is the shortest condition of nose surgery or rhinoplasty.

Rhinoplasty Q & A

A rhinoplasty is what is commonly referred to as a “nose job.” It’s a procedure that helps to reshape the nose and, if necessary, correct structural problems that cause difficulty breathing.

Rhinoplasty can be performed as a non-surgical procedure or a surgical procedure. With any rhinoplasty, it’s important to make sure you’re in the hands of a qualified, experienced surgeon.

A nonsurgical rhinoplasty is a good option if you want to correct minor imperfections. The procedure is fast, results are visible immediately, and there is little to no recovery period.

Using injectables ― neuromodulators (such as Botox) and dermal fillers (like Juvéderm) – Dr. Obasi can relax an upturned nose or smooth the contours of your nose from bridge to tip. Only local anesthetic is needed (if any), and you may return to work or other activities right away.

A consultation with Dr. Obasi is the best way to determine if you’re a good candidate for the non-surgical rhinoplasty. You may qualify if you:

  • Have a small bump on the bridge of your nose
  • Want to make a slight alteration to the nasal tip
  • Are interested in “test driving” a change in your nose shape

If you opt for a non-surgical rhinoplasty, you can expect your results to last several months.

With a traditional, surgical rhinoplasty, you may experience swelling for several weeks, and your full results may not be entirely visible for up to 12 months. While the procedure is permanent, gravity and age can always cause changes in the face, which may shift the shape of your nose slightly.

Dr. Obasi will give you instructions on how to care for your new nose, as well as advice on what you should avoid until you’re fully healed (like contact sports, sun exposure, etc.)
