During this unsettling time, we wanted to reach out to our patients and reassure you of our commitment to maintaining a safe, clean environment at Noble Cosmetic Surgery, because providing a safe and healthy environment for our patients and staff has been our top priority. Additionally, please take note of the following:
  • As a cosmetic medicine facility, we typically do not service sick patients. Our patients are electing to have procedures that are not medically necessary, so your risk of running into an ill patient is lower than that of other healthcare facilities.
  • Our surgeries and other treatments are performed in our private facilities that are used purely for elective treatments.
We continue to monitor the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, and are actively following the guidelines and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO) as well as our local, state and federal government agencies. Our usual guidelines include universal precautions, frequent handwashing, and frequent sanitizing of all patient areas. For the most up-to-date information, please check the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website about this evolving situation, how to reduce the risk of spreading illness, travel health notices, and more.

The best way to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed to this virus. Currently, as the coronavirus is thought to spread mainly from person-to-person, we have now adopted several enhanced safety measures to decrease the risk of exposure to you and the community which include the following:
  • Please wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use the hand sanitizers provided when you enter our offices.
  • If you are feeling unwell or anyone in your household may have been exposed to COVID-19 through travel or attendance at large gatherings less than two weeks ago, please call us at your earliest convenience so we can reschedule you!
  • If you need to cough or sneeze, do so into the crease of your elbow, and then immediately wash your hands.
  • Know the symptoms of Coronavirus: tiredness, fever, weakness, shortness of breath and diarrhea. This virus is lower respiratory focused, so you may not have upper respiratory symptoms like a runny nose, sore throat, and congestion.
  • Take these additional preventive actions to stop the spread of germs-(wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth, clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces).
We hope that each of you will stay safe & healthy as we navigate this complex situation together.

Sincerely,
Dr. Obasi & his staff at Noble Cosmetic Surgery

TUBA

When it comes to breast enhancement surgery, wouldn’t you want the safest, fastest procedure possible? Of course you do, which is why women in Plano, Texas, opt for the TUBA procedure with Dr. Patrick Obasi. As an experienced surgeon in Trans-Umbilical Breast Augmentation, Dr. Obasi and his team at Noble Cosmetic Surgery can help you achieve fuller, more shapely breasts with this innovative technique that’s less invasive than traditional augmentation surgery.

Trans-Umbilical Breast Augmentation

TUBA Q & A

The Trans-Umbilical Breast Augmentation, or TUBA, procedure is a technique of Breast Augmentation where Dr. Obasi inserts implants through the navel or belly button area and then inflates them to your desired shape and size.

The procedure is performed with IV sedation or under general anesthesia and usually takes less than an hour.

First, Dr. Obasi makes a small incision at the belly button. Using special instruments, he accesses the breast area under your skin, creating a pocket for each side of your chest. He then inserts the implant through your abdominal path, fills the implant with saline, and positions them to create the right shape.

The TUBA procedure has become popular because it’s less invasive and faster than traditional Breast Augmentation surgery.

You can go home within a few hours of the operation and can resume light movement after about two days. Patients often return to work or normal activities within a week, and the overall healing period is usually about two weeks.

Other advantages of the TUBA procedure include:

  • No obvious scarring and no scars near the breasts
  • Breasts look natural more quickly
  • Reduced risk of losing sensitivity in the nipples
  • Reduced bleeding
  • Less postoperative discomfort
  • Doesn’t require a special bra during recovery
  • Very low risk of internal scarring

Every woman has different needs, and Dr. Obasi will be happy to discuss what type of augmentation is right for you. TUBA may be ideal if:

  • You have not had previous breast implants
  • You have realistic expectations for size
  • You don’t smoke or are willing to stop smoking for two weeks
  • You don’t have unstabilized high blood pressure, diabetes, or heart problems

Beautiful results can be achieved with TUBA, and Dr. Obasi has the specific training and experience needed to avoid asymmetry or surgical complications. Request a consultation about the TUBA procedure by phone or online.
