The Procedure
Botox® Cosmetic is approved by the FDA and is considered one of the quickest, safest and most popular aesthetic treatments currently available. Botox works by inhibiting the contraction of muscles. In turn, it diminishes undesirable facial wrinkles. Results may be noticeable immediately after one treatment and typically last about 4 to 6 months. Dr. Nathan recommends periodic treatments to preserve the youthful appearance of the face. Apart from reversing signs of aging, Botox regulates oil secretion. It is also known to treat chin “cobblestoning”, down-turned corners of the mouth, and overexposed gums. Dysport® is approved by the FDA for the treatment of facial wrinkles. It is an alternative to Botox treatments. Like Botox, Dysport is a minimally invasive treatment. It works by reducing muscle activity that causes wrinkles of the face. Dr. Nathan offers a numbing topical cream before treatment, helping to reduce pain and discomfort from both Botox and Dysport injections.
