The Procedure

Kybella® is deoxycholic acid, a naturally-occurring molecule in the body that is able to breakdown and absorb dietary fat. When injected into the fat beneath your chin, Kybella causes the destruction of fat cells. Once the fat cells are destroyed, they can no longer store or accumulate fat. Dr. Nathan was one of the first to offer Kybella in South Florida. Dr. Nathan has performed the training and has treated patients successfully and safely. The number of treatments varies significantly between patients. In studies, most patients needed 2-6 treatments to see optimal results. At Suria Plastic Surgery, Dr. Nathan spaces Kybella treatments in 1 month intervals. Generally, most patients will see results at 4-6 weeks after injection.
